Re: toolpath creation problem or wrong interpretor setup?
Hi Tim, Jim,
Yeah, like the 7BA carbon steal tap (from England) I just broke! And I
was being nice to it! I'm milling the cylinder for a Stuart steam
engine. I decided to also mill a "practice"

I am using one of these and like it. It is mounted up at head height so
there are virtually no hot chips getting to it. It is a little funny to
type on and I would not want to use it on a system that

Re: Drill press & cross-slide vice
ditto !
I did that to my old, origional drill press.
I used brass screws with wingnuts to let me lock in the spindle.
I tried milling with a cross slide vice.
I was able to take cuts as deep as

Re: Keyboard wiring?
Steer clear of these keyboards. They are made of a very thin membrane
and just one hot chip can burn thru them.
Also they are very wobbly when typing. It's like trying to have sex

Re: Keyboard wiring?
Radio Shack has a flexible spill-proof keyboard (you can even roll it
up) for about $35.00. Mount it on a panel with double-sided tape and
you're set.

When I view it in Discriminator or back plot it in Vector I see a cut at

That is a cancel of a tool length offset and it is followed a couple

Yeah, somehow the accel rate got misconfigured and I had to redo

Not at all. Membrane switches ARE momentary. The reason I wanted to use
membrane switches is that I figured they would be more oil and chip
resistant.
The idea of of making my own did occur to me

Re: Keyboard wiring?
Thanks for the links, both are a little outside my price range. I'll
probably just dig up an old keyboard and out the parts I need, since the
chips inside sell for $40+ seperately.
