cant see parallel port from dos- found it!
Well, I do feel silly. Its a new laptop to me and it has a funny bios. There is a separate setting to actually turn the ports on and off. Didnt see it before. Thanks anyway. Dean

You can generate the g-codes from a .dxf file with ACEconverter from www.yeagerautomaiton.com/ace.htm or you can also use FlashCUT to generate g-code from a .dxf file. You can download the FlashCUT
