New C14 owner

Gary Burk

Greetings all,
I'm the new owner of a C14 with Fastar, purchased via Astromart from a member of this group. I share a three telescope roll-off roof building in central Ohio and presantly have a pier mounted 8" SCT there. The other two scopes are 15" and 18" Obsessions.
While waiting impatiently for the C14 to arrive, I'm trying to learn as much about it as I can. Although I expect it to be mainly used for CCD imaging, I will want to look through it and will need appropriate eypieces. So, my first question relates to this. What are the favorite eyepieces for this 3910mm fl beast? I usually use a 19mm Panoptic with the 8" (2032mm), that will be rather short for the 14", and is a 1.25" barrel optic. Is the TV 55mm worth the cost in your opinion?

Another area of concern is mirror flop. There must be many different ways to reduce or eliminate this on the C14, are there references and/or favorites? Is there an engineering drawing or exploded image of the C14 available someplace?

Thanks for your help.

Regards,
Gary Burk
