Advice on adjusting corrector plate please

I have recently attempted to precisely center my corrector plate based on issues brought up discussing HyperStar alignment.? I used a Hotech advanced alignment tool.? I noted that my secondary shadow is just slightly out of alignment...perhaps on the order of 1/100".?? I am not too concerned with that but I was in a position to correct it.? I loosened the front "holder" and loosened the 4 corrector adjustment "nuts".? I tightened one of the adjustment nuts that would move the corrector plate in the direction it needed to go.? It seemed to reach the corrector plate but would not budge it with a modest amount of pressure.? I was unwilling to apply any more pressure and tightened everything back to where it was.
Question:? In the experience of someone who has been able to adjust the corrector plate, does it need to break free of some sort of glue or binding material?? Is there a way to gently free it??
At this point with only 1/100" error, I will not further attempt to move it.? But it would be nice to know the answers the the above questions.

My only experience has been that when I once tried to really make sure the locking ring on the secondary was screwed on?secure and tight, the whole corrector plate began to turn. Based on that, I'd say there's no intentional binder holding it in place.
If it were me, and I wanted to shift the plate like you want to, I would loosen the holder ring a bit more, take out the secondary, and then with the appropriate cloth between my fingers and glass, attempt to "lift" the plate free.
