TOFC to KCS boxcars

Have noticed some ex-TBOX 66' boxcars now carrying KCS numbers. Anyone know what's behind this?

Are you referring to the KCS112400-series boxcars?

It appears that they originated as TBOX cars, but may have all passed through AOK ownership before going to KCS.? AFAIK, they are 60-foot cars, not 66 foot.

I have photo'd the following:
AOK112458 [Arkansas-Oklahoma Railroad], obviously exTBOX on CP 2014.
KCS112472 and 112458, obviously exTBOX on CP 2016.?
KCS112494, exAOK112494, again obviously exTBOX built 1913, in 2017.

KCS also acquired their similar 112300-series boxcars [but in boxcar-brown] from a previous owner.
And, KCSM91499 appears to be an exUP Covered Hopper car.

It is very common for cars to be sold or re-leased from one carrier to another.? CN, and CP to a lesser extent, have both been selling-off many of their older grain and box cars.
