TH&B NW-2

Chris Jajko

Hello all,
About 2 years ago, I was at the Galt station watching
trains, when TH&B NW-2 #51 came through going westbound. Also with
the NW-2 was another swithcher, With crude #ing. Unfortunetly I
didn't record the date. Does anyone know when this event happened?

First of all, the second locomotive is a SW9, not a NW2. It is ex-PSTR L3
and exx-C&O 5242. It is only a parts engine now. Both 51 and 52 are
currently owned by Ontario Southland Railway. You likely saw them on their
way from Petro Canada in Clarkson to St. Thomas where they both are now in
storage.

OSRX NW2 #51 (ex-TH&B 51) and OSRX SW9 #52 (ex-PSTR L3; ex-C&O 5242) were
moved from Clarkson to Guelph Junction on April 7, 1998 (give or take a
day) and then from Guelph Junction to St. Thomas on April 10, 1998 (give
or take a day).
