According to 1999 Canadian Trackside Guide:
5426 was part of group 5422-5431 that were leased from GATX in 1991;
purchased March 1994.

nee-MP 3164/3166/3170/3172/3175/3187/3188/3197

I haven't kept my book up-to-date so not sure if all still in system. New

Hello Listers,
Just saw Crean Hill job go buy, I noticed that the lead unit is an ex-Union
Pacific SD40-2 which has the red lettering and the number is 5426. It is
weird to see any oddities out this way. Does anybody know of these such
units out on the system.
