Files and Photos from Yahoo group
I have downloaded the complete Files and Photos archives from Yahoo and we are ready to upload here for testing. I'm not sure if I need to have my first post approved before I can access the Files and Photos menu links. Paul: I'll email you directly if I can't get access. Pete

Group Settings
3
I have updated some of the settings and you should find it easier to upload and download material from the new file now. For those who have wondered why we required members to re-join instead of just copying the members list from yahoo - we had accumulated a huge number of bouncing email addresses, and I wanted to "clean the slate" by not carrying former members who are no longer monitoring this group into groups.io. The signup has been gratifying - there are still a lot of C-N-R enthusiasts out there! Thanks to all for doing this little bit of administrivia. - Paul C-N-R List Owner

422 and 148
I mentioned a while ago that 422 (pt. Robinson to Mac Yard) has intermodal traffic that is dropped off at Aldershot yard. This new traffic has to do with CN purchasing the CSX line running from Woodward (Syracuse) N.Y. to Valleyfield, QC. that connects with the Valleyfield Sub. running up to Coteau connecting with the Kingston Sub. Reference Nov. 2019 Trains magazine. At least today, Wed. Nov. 13th, 148 picked up the traffic putting the containers on the rear. Needed headroom onto the Halton Sub. to do the reverse move. Can I assume, correctly, that this intermodal traffic used to go thru Montreal then to BIT. Doug Renshaw Burlington, ON.

Yahoo message archive uploaded
The no-cost migration doesn't allow the Yahoo message archive to be added to the Messages page here due to formatting issues. Instead I've uploaded HTML digest files of the complete Yahoo message archive from message #1 through yesterday in the Files section here: /g/C-N-R/files/Yahoo%20messages%20archive The PG Offline 4 software I'm using won’t let me put all the messages in one huge archive, but the file would be quite large and take ages to open anyway. I compromised at 4-year digests. You can open, view and search the digests in your browser. You can also downlaod the HTML files. I hope this is of some use at least! Pete

Stellarton Sub.
Quite a while ago, the Stellarton Sub. was CN's and part of it ran from Point Tupper to Sydney N.S. At Ottawa Brook ( Mlg 37.56) there are 2 rail bridges about 1 1/2 miles apart with approximate lengths of 556 ft and 470 ft. Perchance any know the mileages of this 2 bridges and their lengths. I have info on the Grand Narrows Bridge at mileage 46.16 being 1694 ft. Slowly compiling info on bridges with lengths greater than 375 ft. More or less Thanks Doug Renshaw Burlington, ON.

Stellarton Sub:
My previous message regarding the Stellarton Sub. on Cape Breton should have mentioned it had this name way back in the early 19 hundreds. Changes to ownership over the years and it became the Sydney Subdivision. Not in service but I don't think it has been torn up, yet. Doug Renshaw Burlington, ON.
