Left Aldershot Yard, Mlge 34.6 on the Oakville Sub, at approximately 9:55A proceeded onto the
Halton Sub. Saw it had multiple units including Norfolk Southern so tried to catch it at various
locations in Burlington. Had given up when I noticed the consist was slowing quickly at Upper
Middle Rd. underpass. Mlge 45.19 Halton Sub.
Drove into a plaza just south of Dundas St., overpass Mlge 43.74, to record the following units as
the consist was stopped. Moved ahead a bit and stopped again.
CN 5724 - SD75I; CN 8843 - SD70M2; CN 2805 - ES44 A/C; CN 5766 - SD75I
Norfolk Southern 3036 - GP40-2; NS 3027 - GP40-2 and NS 5277 - GP38-3
Crew reported to RTC they noticed smoke back in the consist. Half way back in the Aldershot lift
was a handbreak that wasn't released.
Released the handbreak and away they went.
Where are the NS units going??
