Ontario Directional Running Zone Ontario ; northbounds on the CP Parry Sound
Sub and southbounds on the CN Bala Sub between CN Boyne/CP Reynolds and CN/CP Saint
Cloud. CN uses their symbol format ¡°CN H10031 10 for CP train 100-05¡± and CP
uses a Q, three digits and date ¡°CP Q111-10 for Q11131 10. For simplicity I
will just keep the road symbols.

We are in
the Parry Sound area for a week as Hannah¡¯s parents have rented a cottage or
¡°camp¡± as I say for a week for all of her siblings/spouses. After getting into
the pop the night before I had slept in and not really paying attention to the
lineups the night before I didn¡¯t really have any idea how busy it was going to
be today. Opps! Really kicking my ass for this as this was probably a banner
day for 2020 in these parts! Not to mention it was daylight for much of it.
Such is life, and we had plans in the evening.

After waking
up I looked at the overviews (nice to have access for both roads in these
parts!) and I was out the door just as fast. Shieeet! Had I been up and
trackside around 0700 (not to bad of a time earlier) so with that I had missed
four of them first thing. CP trains 100 and 118 came off the Bala Sub and then
CN trains Q111 and Q183 went up onto the Bala Sub.

I settled in
for the four southbounds at Rosseau Road.

After a nice
afternoon of swimming and not missing anything I headed downtown for a couple
hours to take in some action across the Parry Sound trestle. Its to bad it had
to be cut short!

And with
that I had to call it quits and head back to the camp. There was a CP 113, and
CN Q105 northbound still awhile out, and then CN Q114 and M314 would be waiting
for Q105 to get onto the DRZ. Later on around 2130 a CN M318 would pass through
making 19 trains from 0700 to 2130!
