sBITX Howto's
- Wrong time, or wrong time zone:?link1?link2
- Change volume of FT8 during transmit cycle:?link1?link2
- Use "ssh" to access the sbitx's pi from another computer
- enable ssh on pi
- from a terminal window: sudo raspi-config then select interface options
- from menu chose preferences: configuration
- connect remotely in a terminal: pi@your_sBITX_url password
- on windows you can use PowerShell or putty
- see /g/BITX20/message/101664
- nice reference
- enable ssh on pi
- Reduce screen brightness using the Terminal app
- sudo sh -c "echo nnn > /sys/class/backlight/rpi_backlight/brightness"
where?nnn?is a number from 1 to 255. I set mine down to 80, which is much better for my eyes and reduced power draw from 1.2 A to .9 A.
- sudo sh -c "echo nnn > /sys/class/backlight/rpi_backlight/brightness"
- App to control screen brightness:?link
- Issue sbitx commands via telnet or in command mode:?link1?link2?link3
