Just received my zbitx.? Plugged in the batteries and the unit is hung up with the message: zbitx firmware v1.02? Waiting for zbitx to start...?

Has any one seen this and how to get the radio working.? I can change modes and enter my call sign change parameters.? No volume and no signal detected

Had that happen as well. I believe it went away when I rebooted/pull the power again. The other step I did do was connected it to a micro HDMI to connect to my wifi

This might be a silly question, but… how long did you wait? From the videos it looks like the display boots instantly, but it takes awhile for the Raspberry Pi to boot, during which time it displays that message.

Have you restarted the radio.? If that doesn't work.? Try to connect to a monitor via the HDMI cable and connect to the wife and do the updates?

It never displays the tubes, although if I plug a monitor into the HDMI, it shows the tubes.? The zbitx continues to display the screen shown.

Tom, It shows the tubes only on the HDMI screen. Does the software run on the HDMI screen? If it doesn't run, then there will be a black terminal window (on the HDMI screen) with?some error message. Mine, as received yesterday does the same.? There is a small weak buzz in the speaker about every 5 sec as well.? See attached screenshot.?

After updating to 1.0.4 in RPI and frontpanel all runs nicely.?

When you plug into the “CAT” port you are actually plugging into the microcontroller that runs the display stuff. ?The ports to the left are three ports to the Raspberry Pi main computer. ?I assume that you checked voltage and orientation on the batteries before connecting the radio. ?The DC power system on this radio may be a weak spot for operator error. ?

The connector will not help if the radio wont power on. ?I tested the batteries and the connector and they have power, but when I plug it into the radio it will not power on. ?It is DOA
