W8TEE Software Release 1.07-09
Jack Purdum
All:
I have uploaded the new software for the BITX40 color TFT display and VFO PCB. The new release fixes a number of bugs, especially in the display and the processing of the encoder. Users should read through the source file as there is a lot of information in it that might be helpful. Support for the DS3234 Real Time Clock has also been added. Future improvements will allow the user to set the time and date at runtime. Right now, those parameters are set at compile time using the time and date objects of the host PC. (Hard-coded date/time constants are not used.) The manual has also changed a little and a small trouble shooting section has been added. Using a keyer, the RTC, or debugging requires uncommenting one or more symbolic constants that appear near the top of the source code file, after the #include pre-processor directives. Non-standard library files have their download sites given in the source file as a comment after the #include directive. Keep me posted on your use of the hardware and software. I'm particularly interested in those who are working to port Allard's features to this environment. Jack, W8TEE |

Ah poop!
Having a bit of a time getting things to compile. I seem to have all the libraries, but end up with a error of: C:\Users\User\Documents\Arduino\libraries\digitalWriteFast/digitalWriteFast.h:1:23: fatal error: WProgram.h: No such file or directory ?#include "WProgram.h" Mike, WB8VGE BTW... last version of the code complies with no issues |

How old is your digitalWriteFast library? WProgram.h hasn't been used in quite some time. It was replaced with Arduino.h

that¡¯s what I¡¯ve read about the WProgram.h I used the URL Jack inserted into the code. That¡¯s where I got the file. Mike, WB8VGE On Oct 2, 2017, at 6:09 PM, Vince Vielhaber <vev@...> wrote: |

Have no idea how old it is, but it should be compatible in any case. As it turns out, that was an experiment I was trying. I'm no longer actually calling the library code...I just forgot to remove it. I have posted the latest version (1.07-10) on the group site that does not use the ditigalWriteFast library. The gap may be larger or non-existent, depending on the size of the display. You could just define a symbolic constant (e.g., XOFFSET) and set it to some pixel count and then find all the x coordinate calls and add it to it which would center the display. The other alternative is to change screenBoxWidth around line 1500 in setup(). I think I defined most of the positions relative to the width and height of each box....I guess you'll find out! Screen has a gap on the right side but I'll fix that. You surprised me with the RTC. Gotta get one of them. don |

In the Files section of the group home is the assembly manual. I posted this on Sept 30. Look for my call. I think I know what the problem is whith not being able to see emailadress etc.
I opted for the read online only? ( no email update) and it seems like the site don't post the letters after @ . Probably to fool bots etc. I have now changed settings and see emailadress etc. But I still don't have jack purdums adress, guess it will show when he posts the next time. |
