Unable to Update Pi Zero

Still trying to update zBitx Pi Zero. I've hooked up an external HDMI monitor and powered up the zBitx.? I am presented with a pi login screen, but the default password is not working; I have not changed it to anything else. So I cannot proceed to the terminal program or do any updating.

Ed,
could you please clarify where you got stuck. They have published a manual for zbitx, where pages 22-24 describe how to do it.

Hello Gyula,
???? I am following the procedure on page 22.? When I hook up HDMI monitor, keyboard, and mouse...then power up the zBitx, here is a pic of the screen I see.? No password, even the default password, works.? I cannot get past this screen.? Note that the zBitx is still waiting to load, so perhaps that may be why I cannot get to the terminal to do any updating.

hf12345 does not work.

Try using "raspberry", that looks like the password for the Rasberry Pi itself.

Thank you

I copied the zbitx Image today because I was curious about a problem. I have sbitx v2, the hardware is different, and the program logged in fine after starting it.
If you changed the password in the RPi menu-> Preferences -> Raspberry Pi Configuration settings, use that.
It does not ask for a password to enter the terminal. I do not see a link in the manual to ask for a password.

If nothing works, download the Image, extract it to .img format (32GB), copy it to a good quality uSD card with balenaEtcher and use that. This has the latest version.

Hi Gyula,
???? I have burned the image file onto a new card.? But how do I get to the old card to replace it?? I removed the four case mounting screws but there are three more nuts on the bottom metal plate that just spin without loosening.

OK...the brute force approach was needed.? Image written on a new card seems to have fixed the problem.
