ubitxv6 kit - upgrade to 7in screen, need new case

Michael Golden All Messages By This Member #93622 Hello all! for my birthday last year, I got a 7in nextion display and want to upgrade my ubitx to it.? I'm aware of the firmware and everything else I need to do to make this happen.? My one struggle, however, is finding a 3d printable case, or a case I can buy for the ubitx that will handle the 7inc screen and keep everything nice and safe. Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
Evan Hand All Messages By This Member #93623 Michael, Other than buying an aluminum case and doing the metal work to cut out the front and back faceplates, no actual suggestions on the case.? I prefer metal for the RF shielding as the uBITX is noisy and susceptible to external interference. The post is to remind you that there is a significant difference in the current requirement of the 7" vs 2.8" Nextion display. 7" - 430ma 2.8" - 65ms The 7" display will need a separate 5volt power source.
