Two capacitors -C210 and C216- arr missing from my uBITX motherboard.
Also, when I connect the board to 12V, the book says that the current
drain should be 100mW. But there is no current drain att all.

Can I assume that the board is fault?

I looked at the V4 schematic and the value for both of those caps is zero. This means there are no caps installed. V3 has the same lack of capacitors. So, he isn't using them.?

Are you getting audio from the board ?

Dear Michael

Thank you for your wise words. Now all I have to do is work out why there
is no current drain.

Andrew

If there is no current drain, what shows up on the LCD? Is the back light lit?

What method are you using to measure the current draw?

My uBITX is finally finished. The Hammond case was a tight fit and the knobs came from my junkbox. The manipulator is home made and the microphone is housed in an old pill box.

It did not want to know about the straight key at first, so I upgraded to KD8CEC firmware. This knocked out both keys. After trying three different uBITX firmware packages and two different uBITX managers, I reverted to the default firmware. It could be that the uBITX manager and I did not agree with each other. Finally, it accepted both keys, although the straght key sounded a bit flakey until I cleaned the morse key points.

Which Hammond case did you use?

Thanks, Tony?
