Tracking order
I ordered a bitx40 kit on March 6. Using the tracking number from hfsigs, I tried to use India Post "AfterShip" tracking, and the latest shows "insert item into bag (Otb)" on March 17 at "Mumbai Air", with no update since then. Is this typical? Does this mean that the part has not actually left Mumbai, or that it HAS left? Is there another tracking method I can use? |

This is normal.? It usually takes close to a month, to the US.? If you go to the post office, they can track it on a private system, not available to the public. ? Look at Randy's list, it has several people so you can compare: On Mar 22, 2017 10:05 PM, "Yeonghwan Jun" <ds5siz@...> wrote:

It is very hard.? Mine took 2 months.... ?long story, but it was in the apartment complex office.? I am still getting parts together.? I just got a case in and I am waiting for some push button switches... Marco - KG5PRT? On Mar 22, 2017 11:48 PM, "davetelling ." <davetelling@...> wrote: OK, it sounds like my situation is normal. IndiaPost makes their tracking information public, but is only good to the edge of India. ?So in the bag at Mumbai Air is the last they know of it. ?For those in the United States, the USPS tracking system is publicly available for some domestic mail but for some obscure reason not for international mail. ?However, the postal clerks can access tracking information for international mail. ?If it's been over 3 weeks since it hit Mumbai Air, then approach a local clerk with the RN number from the PayPal email and politely ask if they can figure out what happened to it. ?You can also initiate an inquiry on the web or via email, but that's weirdly tough to navigate and I never did get a response. ? ?My Bitx40 took two months to arrive, likely due to a hard-to-read bar code: ?/g/BITX20/message/22442 Jerry, KE7ER On Wed, Mar 22, 2017 at 09:48 pm, davetelling . wrote:

Normal. I ordered mine on December 25th. It was put in the mail a few days later, but once it was put in the bag, no more tracking occurred until it showed up in my mailbox a little less then 3 weeks later.
