the time has come to pass the bitxmap.com torch

After close to six years I have decided to step down from maintaining .? I know I say this every year but this time it is for real.? The domain is up for renewal early next month and I will not be renewing it.? If you do not want to see disappear now is your time to do something about it.? The way it is currently set up requires almost no work.? You need to check it occasionally and correct the messes that pop up from time to time when someone doesn't read the instruction on how to add themselves and manually add people that request help.? The only expense is paying for the domain name.? The site is just a domain name redirect to a google my maps page.? There is no other hosting required.? I will transfer the domain to who ever steps up along with the kmz file.? You will need to load the kmz to a map on a google account and then redirect the domain to it.? I used google my maps because it was the only way I knew how to do this.? If you have a better idea, please do it.? I am backing it up locally daily with a windows task scheduler routine.? I will help whoever takes over set up the back up but truth be told I did it with help years ago so no promises.? If the time to renew the domain passes and no one volunteers I will save the latest kmz to the files section of the site so the data will not be lost.? I will do everything I can to help the new caretaker but I cobbled this thing together and would love to see someone do a better job.? I do have a couple of requests for the new caretaker.? One, this was a community project and it should always be free.? Two, please do not remove the SK entries, they helped build our community and have earned our respect.? Please respond on list only.? If you have a question someone else probably does too.

Doug, What if we put a software switch on x Sbitx to report its presence?
