sBITX v3 Logbook
I'm having a little trouble with the logbook on the sBITX V3. Every QSO I make I make sure that all of the information is in the logbook boxes and then I hit the LOG button. I don't know if I'm populating the logbook information correctly or if I'm even opening up the proper file to view the logbook. My logbook has zero information in it. No QSO's have been saved on it yet. To view the logbook I used the \logbook?command in the sBITX software and the file that opens up is logbook.txt - Mousepad
I'm pretty sure that the issue is with the user but I have not been able to locate the part that I am doing wrong.? -- '72 Aaron? |
Aaron, The \logbook doesn't work. Open the browser by pressing on WEB button. From the web UI? open the logbook. The old logbook used text file, the new logbook uses sqlite3. - f On Tue, Dec 26, 2023, 9:06 PM Aaron K5ATG <Aaron@...> wrote: I'm having a little trouble with the logbook on the sBITX V3. Hi Aaron,
? I received the device with the April delivery. I am constantly reading the topic and writing down interesting information. This year I had a lot of physical work from tearing down fences to rebuilding. Replacement of windows and doors, complete renovation of the bathroom... painting of rooms. So I wasn't bored. Therefore, I only started working with the device in November, when the v3 alpha version was released. I dismantled my previously used antennas (2 el 5 B Quad, 20.8m vertical) in the spring, so in the middle of November I quickly put up a vertical delta loop fed from above. Since then I have made more than 500 FT8 qso's on 7, 14, 21 MHz without a tuner. I am writing these because I have experienced what the device can and cannot do. The errors still exist, nothing has changed. I tested the FT8 mode for transmission and reception, the rest only for reception. In FT8 mode, it will automatically save LOG when it works well. When not, I write it on paper and at the end of the day I tried to correct the errors with the DB Browser (SQLite) program. Delete when no acknowledgment has occurred, but logging has occurred. Or he didn't write anything in the diary, even though the report was changed and acknowledged. At the moment, I use an external program in parallel with the internal LOG, and I write the data by hand in the same way, then I compare them with the internal log daily. The creator of the external program sent me the modification before the holidays so that I could enter negative numbers in the RSTs and RSTr cells. I'm still waiting for any changes to happen with LOG management. If you look at my entries, you will also find the errors I have listed. So apparently there is a LOG that you can manually write in for cw and ssb, but in FT8 mode the automatic log saving is uncertain. So far, I've only used it with the 7" small screen, but I've also made an external HDMI connection, so that works too. The device is connected to earth at one point. The power input has rfi protection (6 turns on FT140-43 ferrite ring). I don't have crossovers or dropped wires to pick up and transmit the interference. I'm trying to rule out confusion. I think I have described the essential things about this. -- Gyula HA3HZ |
