Sbitx v2 transmit audio is CRAP #microphone

Why is the microphone voltage so high? My friend measured and saw almost 12 volts. He the placed variable resistor across tge circuit reduced to 3.5v and had a lot better transmit audio. Please advise and fix this issue?

The transmit audio problem is usually a challenge if the microphone is picking up RF.?
There are hundreds of these radios that are working with the 12v bias, so it is less a design issue and more an issue with your specific radio.?
Specifically, I would first look to see if the grond connection of the microphone is proper and the swr of the antenna.
Can you tell us:
1. What antenna are you using?
2. What is the power and swr reported in CW mode?
3. What is the mic setting?

I agree with farhan,

The 12V bias is fine.? However the source of that bias is unfiltered 12V
and it can have power supply and RF noise on it.? It makes the radio
extremely sensitive to self induced RFI.

For the DE version I have the supplied mic did not have a shielded cable
it was terrible for RF pickup.? Replacing the cord only with a suitable shielded?
(for the mic audio) one solved many issues.

With the supplied microphone on both of my sBitx DE and V2 I got bad audio reports, but with this mic, ? I get great reports. I use these mics on all of my Bitx radios.
