#sbitx_v2 Digital mode #sbitx_v2

In the pull down Mode selection, We see "Digital".
What is the purpose for this mode?

Does it use the internal sound card, Or what are the benefits?

Thank you
Nir

Hi Nir,

This mode is used with applications such as FT8 and WJST-X (which is an external program).

I currently run WJST-X routinely and yes you have to run in Digital mode. ?The RPi sound card is used and it works well for me. ?I¡¯d like to run JS8Call but I¡¯ve not been able to make that work.

Others will have more technical descriptions but that¡¯s what it¡¯s for.

Cheers, Scott

I am a DE user and run both FT8 (via WSJT-X) and JS8Call. Let me know if you want my configuration settings.

Hello,

I will be happy.
I want to use the Qsstv, It may help.

Regards,
Nir

It would probably help others if you could post the configuration.

Attached are photos showing my DE and JS8Call running. The CAT control isn't working totally as I need to set the frequency of the radio manually. Also when I click the Test Cat button from the Radio page ( under File, Settings) it doesn't turn red or green But the test PTT turns Red and keys the radio with no power out. The Tune button on the main screen keys the radio at the full power output.

I hope this helps. As you can see I sent out a HB, and got three responses.
