Gyula,

Thanks for your inputs.? ?I am currently working with the manufacturer.? ?My expertise and resources for testing the board locally are limited.

Don,
I think based on your description so far that you don't have a software problem. I would start looking at the hardware.
You need a signal generator with which you give a signal to the input. This should be very small (-80-100 dB) because the device is sensitive, and with an oscilloscope I would continuously step through each stage according to the drawing.
You have to find where the signal disappears.
You can also use a sound generator to test the audio levels.
If you don't have the opportunity to do these tests, find a fellow amateur who can help you with this.
?
A thought: have you already looked for the manufacturer on this topic?

?
Could you give more details on the modifications for the pi 5.

You want the sb64p1.img.xz?file and then follow instructions on the wiki pages. This file is compressed and contains a .img file.

After using the sBitx_3.027_JJ version for a few days, I would like to share my positive experiences here.
The AM mode is displayed correctly and it is worth paying attention to the IF regulator, it should be at a low value so that the audio is not controlled too high.
?
For the 5-band TX_EQ transmission, there is an equalizer that can be used to correct the error in the frequency course of our microphone. That is, depending on the frequency, the audio level can be emphasized or suppressed during transmission.
The QRO function can be switched on/off if we have included the external PA control option. It is located in /sbitx/data/user_settings.ini.
?
The SSB Power Calibration option is present in the /sbitx/data/user_settings.ini file with ssb_val=1.0 as default. If we have the opportunity, we can fine-tune this value. By the way, if you don't know what it's doing, ignore it. You can read about details here:
ssb_val and equalization are set as in KX4Z Gordons's development here:
/g/BITX20/wiki/36181

?
I noticed that the Hamlib fix works correctly, because in previous versions, for example, I switched it off in FT4 mode and when I switched it on again, it didn't see it, only FT8. So the mode switch had to be switched back and forth to get it to indicate correctly. Now everything works correctly.
?
The change in the Volume level is immediately noticeable when you first turn it on. Now it is strongly present and the audio levels are also suitable for the input of jtdx, wsjt-x. If someone uses it differently, I will tell them that with jtdx I set the audio input with the IF and Audio controls of sbitx and use it at the lowest possible value.

Overall, I'm happy with the modifications.
Thanks to the development team for this.

I guess this error can be fixed

If supposedly zBITX is powered by a RPi0-2W then it would make sense if this creation works on that powerplant too

Haven't tried the image on it yet.. It does work on the Pi 5 with minor modifications..

It will run a little hotter since we added features which require more processing power. No other way around that other than place active cooling in or around the unit. It should have been designed that way from the start, but We don't work for HF Signals and hve no input on design flaws...

Please look in the forum messages for what we did to reduce the temperature of the heat-generating components.
The proven method is to replace the insulator of the power-stage FETs with an AlN insulator and cool the RPi from the inside with a 50x50x10 fan (the back of the RPi). For this, the side panel of the sBitx device does not need to be modified. Also, if you use it often, you should also cool the rear cooling fin with an additional fan.
I have these built in and currently the external temperature is high (there is a heatwave), so the CPU temperature starts at 36C when it is switched on. With these coolings, the CPU does not reach 60 degrees C.

If that's the case, how do I modify the update command to cause it to go to completion?

Last night I downloaded and tested on my sBitX V 2. It worked well.
