Nextion 3.2 Display

 

I just uploaded 4 files for the Nextion 3.2 display. They are for the basic and enhanced to work with Dr Ian Lee's CEC 1.094 firmware. I am starting to work on the 3.5 display next.
I would appreciate input on these files if you choose to use them. They are not an enlarged version of the 2.4 they are done on an actual 3.2 size scale.

I agree... looks good and it works.? I will also continue to test.? Thanks a lot for this, it will be used for my club demo of the uBITX on sunday.

All of the programming for the screen was taken from Dr. Ian Lee's 2.4 display. I did the Graphics to fit the 3.2 display. I am currently working on a version for the 3.5 display. Joe B has a very nice 7 inch version that I am sure he will post soon.His also is based on Ian's 2.4 program.
For those using the enhanced version their will be a clock very soon added to the display . I am testing it now .

My gripes are mostly about a good technical discussions diverging into multiple threads.
If you do start a new thread on an old subject then post links to both showing where the other thread can be found.?

Those posting without any history for context generally get ignored.
If it's not worth your while to spend 5 seconds including context,
it's certainly not worth it for?thousands of forum readers to go find it.

If anybody want's to pick apart my use of USAish or my C indentation style (or lack thereof), have at it.
I'm quite capable of skipping over those posts too.

And while I'm at it, I've never seen any reason to get comfortable with C++.
It's always been straight C (K&R or ANSII) if I want to code for speed or size,
and for the last couple decades I've been resorting to Python for easy coding.?
This violates my primary beef above, I do try not to be overly pendantic.

A more thorough explanation, then:
"their" is possessional - it's the plural of "his/her/its"
"there" is positional - in this case the position/place is in the code and eventually on screen.
They sound the same but have vastly different meanings. This is partly American dialect and partly sub-standard education - not your fault, but your teachers in childhood and the system they operate in. It's akin to "your/you're" and even "yaw", and that dreadful "y'all". Really, don't get me started ... do 100 centers make a dollarer? and where the 'ell is the "L" in sodder and goff?

The BITX group includes persons for whom English is not a primary language.? It also includes
English speakers form all over the world who speak one of more of the many English dialects.
This results in deliberate or accidental use and abuse of the language.? It probably serves us best?
to allow a little flexibility in how we spell and speak any of the languages used here.?

Topic of this thread is "Nextion 3.2 Display"? and not how the language is being used, unless of
course it refers to C-language and coding for the Nextion Display operation and interface.

p.s., Allen: I'm not an English major either, just a kid who listened and learned. Our school leaving qualifications were School Certificate and University Entrance. In S.C a pass in English of 50% was mandatory. I managed 70%, and that was my 'failing subject', the lowest in the subjects I took and omitted when aggregated for the final 'Pass Mark'.

I almost had the 3.5 finished and my PC died. I have new PC now and I am in the process of recovering things from the old hard drive. I should have everything completed and the 3.5 posted in a few days.. This windows 10 I don't like, LOL, I like the 8.1 better.
