I2C Signal meter HEX file?

Hi, I have built the nano I2C Signal meter from hamskey but I can't find the HEX file to upload to the second nano anywhere?? Can someone point me in the right direction please?

Carl I had built this for Mike already, here it is

Thanks for the file but it won’t download? When I click it it’s just numbers in the browser. Unless i’m missing something....?

Same again unfortunately Laurence. Perhaps send it to my email address? m0clscarl@...

Thanks for your help.?

May have to RIGHT CLICK , save as
A hex file is a list of ASCII with Addresses

That file worked well for me. It is a .hexx file that needs to be uploaded with Xloader.

When wiring the nano the standard way (not routing the yellow wire from the nextion) do I still need to switch on the signal meter in dsp1? I’m not infront of the radio until tomorrow so can’t test it just yet.?

I connected the second raduino according to the scheme. I have two problems. The raduino voltage regulator is very warm. Is it normal ? The HEX file can only be loaded when the system is disconnected from Ubitx. When the PCB is connected, there is an error - Xloader does not upload the file and Arduino shows the error. In a resistor divider, I used resistors 10k instead of 20k. Could this be the reason?

Yes my Raduino regulator gets very hot as well. I put a heat sink on mine. I can not answer the programming question I loaded my Arduino " out of circuit"

Thanks for the answer. I am calm about it. However, I still have a problem with my system of two raduinos. I connected them by stacking one on top of the other. Thanks to this, I was able to shorten the connections as much as possible. I have shortly connected GND-GND, 5V-5V, A5-A5, A4-A4. Additionally, between arranging R1, R2, C1. VOL-HIGH connected from the black wire on the volume potentiometer. I've cut the yellow wire from Nextion. I connected well to RX and D9. I uploaded the HEX i2C S-METER to the second Raduino and UBITX_CEC_V1.100_NX_S.hex to the first one. In the uBITX Memory manager I marked "S.Meter" and entered in each field "level" - 1. I wrote to uBITX. After turning on the power, in the menu I mark "Using dsp meter". And S-meter readings are incorrect. They appear only to a small extent when rotating the encoder. Without connection to the signal. There are no ideas what I did wrong.

Tomasz,

To being with, the audio header Black wire is the return [ground/earth] and not audio. The R1-R2-C1 junction must be with the Yellow line that goes to feed the high side of the10k volume pot.

I'd re-work that connection and report back with trial results.? I'm still figuring out how best to use the 2x Nano deal as well though it begins with the wiring.

Thank you for the suggestion of stacking the processors.?

Best wishes,

Thank You Ted.
It seems to me that according to the scheme Volume High is connected to the black wire in my version of uBitx 4.0. But I may be wrong..
Is it possible that I used some strange raduino clone even though it looks the same?

I think I see the problem. You are referencing the volume control wire colors for the Amateurradiokits case and Ted is referencing the original uBitx audio connector wire colors. The picture you shows does indeed indicate that for the case wiring the black wire is volume high. However, Philip in post number 67223 pointed out a wiring error in the Amateurradiokits instructions. They reversed the volume high and volume mid in the instructions. The brown wire should be volume high and the black wire should be volume mid.

If you make that correction and connect the R1-R2-C1 junction to the now moved brown wire which is the correct volume high you should see better results. This worked for me.

Great message! Thank you Lou . Check it out as soon as possible.

No, not an odd clone.? In your other thread on Nano Clones, we learned that the photo above shows the contact pins soldered in at the maker's on the side normally used in the market and that we, in the __Bitx__ community, want the pins to arrive un-soldered. We use them on the obverse side so that the Nano is oriented the way it must fit onto the Raduino daughter board.?
