Has anyone converted ubitx to work with the sbitx software?
#sbitx_v2
#ubitx
Dean, VU2IIA has done it? You have to : 1. Change the tuning code to work with dual conversion (it is in sbitx.c) 2. Add a WM8731 codec (I can send you a board). 3. Change the 11.059 mhz filter to 27 mhz, 25 khz wide filter. - f On Thu, May 18, 2023, 3:59 PM Dean Souleles <dsouleles@...> wrote: I saw Farhan on his way in to FDIM - he mentioned the possibility of converting a ubitx to work with the sbitx software.? ?Has anyone tried it and what was involved? |
Hi Aaron -
I got the Pi, display, audio board and SI5351 hooked up and the software loaded and working but I put this on the back burner for other projects.? I decided not to use my uBitx V5 for this.? Instead, I have a single conversion QRO SSB rig that I built a few years ago that I am going to use.? I'm going to build the 40Mhz IF and get the receiver working first.? I'll get it working QRP first then think about higher power. 73, Dean KK4DAS |
Didn't do that however I did do single conversion to 21.4mhz as I had some really?
nice 10 pole 25 and 50khz Peterson filters.? IT was a decent RX and of course the first conversion was easy F+21.4 and for the second LO it was find the edges to get the right IF.? ?I used DBM for both the mixers to save time and MMICs for the RF gain stages. --- Allison ------------------ Please use the forum, offline and private will go to bit bucket. |
