A New Baby (and Banana) have been Hatched!

RaduinoXP

Been working on this Big Boy for a month now.? Completely compatible with BitX.? Has the one connector (5Pin) that has +12, Gnd, and Clock for BitX.
Uses Mega 2560 Pro Embed Arduino.

Just like RaduinoX, just connect that one 5 pin Molex to get BitX going.

Full of connectors!!? 14 of them.? 50 Digital Pins and 16 Analog.

12 Pin Molex have 10 pins for I/O and +5 and Ground.

Like RaduinoX, I2C are level shifted to 3.3 to the SI5351.

Heat Sink on the +5V regulator with diode and filtering.

Double Sided and well laid out with lots of ground plane on bottom.

Mounts standard LCD or 4x20 as shown in the pictures.

It is a compact as I could get it, but may still not fit enclosures already built.

This is Debug board.? A new order of PCBs will arrive next week.

Yes, I am tossing out the first order of PCBs (I screwed up 4 lines).

Well, I would be interested in a couple of the boards when they are available. Let me know when and how much!

I am sure many will be interested in your new board Mike!

Three questions:

1) dimensions?? It looks like it could be around 75mm deep and 85mm wide which may challenge existing enclosures.

2) is there an i2c connector?? It would be helpful to be able to expand to use other i2c devices (e.g. temperature sensors, digital pots, etc.)

3) cost?

4) is there room topside to mount a dupont display connector if you dont want to attach directly to the 1602 or 2004 display (ie cable connect).? This would enable the card to be mounted alongside the Bitx40 or on top of the Bitx40 board using standoffs.

It looks like something I would be interested in acquiring!

There dedicated connectors for I2C and Rotary.? And a dedicated connector for the other 2 clocks, with grounds for coax.

I got the interrupts working for the encoder today.

PCBs will arrive next week for more testing.

Yes the are large, but all port pins are brought out to Molex.

It will mount standard LCD or 20x4 LCD.

Still only need 1 connector (5Pin) to operate on Bitx.? All others are optional for the changes that have been implemented.

The board is stuffed with connectors.

That was the challenge, to get all those Arduino Mega lines to connectors.

I had to keep moving and flipping them to keep close to the Mega.

The 50 port pins and 256K of memory should really be nice.

But, the size has to go up.

I have used the I2C for a serial 20x4 LCD.?? Don't even use the LCD connector.
