Carrier line

So, just recently I have noticed a carrier line which is very annoying. See on the photo my frequency is 14.044 and there is a constant noise line on 14.045. It is always there on every frequency and every band. I can diminish the sound by turning the IF down near 40. The line also follows any RIT movement.

I forgot to add that the line is there with power supply or on battery.

Yesterday the rig was on all day and that line was there but not always irritating. Well, today I started up and no line or noise. About 10 minutes into the session the line and the noise returned and now very annoying. Sounds like a component is heating up and is out of tolerence.
?
Any ideas?

It is a "birdie"??
All receivers (well, most anyway) have them.
You can try more internal shielding on the radio (there was a great thread on that before, suggesting that shielding the display cable was the frist step) to try and reduce it.? ? It is unlikely?to be a single component? ?It is a real signal.? ?Just one that isn't coming in from the outside.

Good luck!
