Calling West Coast BITX operators
Hi All,
Just curious, how many West Coast BITX operators are on this list? Anywhere on the left side of the country. If you don't mind, sound off with your state and town. I'll compile a list from the responses. I have three plus myself that I know personally: WB0NPM - Escondido CA KE7RTV - Sparks, NV W7LTG - Spanish Springs, NV KK6RPX, Albion CA Thanks! What a boob I am! Of course Canada too. Mexico too while we are at it. So I'll change that to province/state and town. Thanks for replying. Rest of the west coasters, keep 'em coming! We have 10 on the list so far. Jonathan - KK6RPX On 6/5/2017 8:26 PM, College Professor Simon Thompson wrote:

Makes me wonder the about the best way for us to connect. While chasing DX stations is fun, the odds are that the stations on this list could make contact fairly often. So, lets gather some opinions and ideas. Every other week QSO party? What time of day do you find 40 works best for west coast comms? Perhaps a daytime QSO party one week and an evening party the next? A WAWC (worked all west coast) net?
Also, there is a net in the AM called the Early Bird net and we have at least 4 BITX operators there every morning. 8AM, 7.186. Feel free to check in, bitx or QRO. In the afternoon a few of us check 7.812 between 1-3 in the afternoon. No schedule, just park it there and a make a few calls and see if anyone is around.
Thanks to all who responded and keep 'em coming. I'd love to be connecting regularly with other BITX operators as anyone who likes to tinker with a BITX is my kinda ham!

开云体育Great idea. I am a regular check in there too.? Early check ins actually start at 10AM. And there are many relay stations so getting in is easy.On 6/6/2017 8:04 AM, peatmoss - ki6ssi
