Bluetooth Headset For Sbitx V3

Hello I recently bought a new sbitx v3 and when I was at the Dayton Oh/Xenia Ham Convention the sbitx team was there. I had spoke to one of the team members about using a bluetooth headset for transmit and receive instead of using the hand microphone and was told to join this group to ask for script to put on the radio so I can start using my Bluetooth headset.?
Thanks Clayton K9QCA?

Hi

You will want to use an app that I created called USB Headset Controller. It is part of the sBITX Toolbox suite of apps and also on the 64 bit SD card image.

I went on the gethub link you provided me and connected the sbitx to my mobile hot spot to get that information downloaded. I opened the sbitx terminal and tried typing cd $home as the gethub said for directions did not work.?

If you are running the stock version as shipped by the manufacturer, then you would use this:
?

The command string must be copied and pasted in terminal verbatim.. cd $HOME && git clone https://github.com/drexjj/sBITX-toolbox.git && cd sBITX-toolbox && chmod +x *.sh && ./installer.sh

If you are running the 64 bit version then you would use this:
?

The command string must be copied and pasted in terminal verbatim.. cd $HOME && git clone https://github.com/drexjj/sBITX-toolbox64.git && cd sBITX-toolbox64 && chmod +x *.sh && ./installer.sh

Clayton,
please post a picture of the uSD card that came with the device. I am interested because you are the second person to report a similar problem.
If it's an SD card problem, you can work around it by getting a good quality uSD card. After that, you download the published by W9JES. You can find the link in Link.txt. After extracting it with 7-Zip, you have to copy it to a uSD card, then start the sBitx device with it.
Here you can already find the sBITX-Toolbox, which contains the USB Headset Controller.

@HA3HZ Thanks for the information I’ll try and get a photo taken of the SD card that came with the radio, but unfortunately I have small minor issues I don’t know how to add a photo to this message. I’ve never copied no sd card image so this will be my first time can you recommend a good website for a program to write the card with? Clayton K9QCA

Clayton.
it's simple, just read and understand what needs to be done. The information is in the previous message, click on the name ''. This covers a link where everything is described. Computer skills are required to use this device. Sending pictures is similar to the forum page, everything you need is there.

ps.: "computer knowledge is required to use the device" correctly:
computer knowledge is required to use the sBitx device.
It's good to familiarize yourself with the apps and commands used by the RPi.

Okay question I was Abel to down load the latest image with the updates and the Bluetooth head set audio stuff with the sbitx tool box. The radio is not showing no power out put and the swr does not move because on the image I got when I ordered the radio everything worked okay is maybe a bug in the new image to why it’s not showing the power? And when I connect my Bluetooth headset to the radio and go into the toolbox to turn on usb head set and press the ptt and talk in my head set the radio don’t show no power?

Make sure the radio is in LSB or USB mode. You may have to restart the sBitx app and headset app. Which headset make and model are you using?

There is also some troubleshooting information in the Toolbox manual ?

Yes the radio Is In LSB OR USB when transmitting but the radio Is not showing the power output or the swr like It did before I changed over to the software? When I originally bought this radio It came with software out of the manufacturer and was working fine. As far as the Bluetooth headset you asked about It’s called Opencom by shokz It’s a Bluetooth headset for my cell phone.

Update to my last post technically I can’t use my radio from the new software upgrade because It’s not showing my power or swr?
