My apologies if this is covered in the manual; I searched but couldn't find the answer to my question. I am using my sbitx3 remotely, and it is currently tuned to 80 meters. I have an automatic tuner connected to it. Without risking damage to the radio, can I safely tune it to 20 meters? I imagine the procedure would be to switch to 2-tone, tune the radio at 1-2 watts, and then gradually increase the power. If this is not possible, I will leave it on 80 meters until I can visit the site again.

I run my sbitx almost exclusively remote.? I have a fan dipole for 80 40 20 and it will tune on all bands from 80-10.? But I use JJ's 64 bit software now which includes a tune function with adjustable tune drive.? I run 5 - 10w to tune on all bands and am on the original finals.? ?It will depend on your antenna and how long it takes to tune and if you have excessive SWR.? Your mileage may vary so it hard question to answer.? ??
