David - would you consider upgrading the Gerbers for the uBITX AGC board from 274D to 274X? I've not found a board house that will accept the old Gerber format, and so far I've been unable to manually re-work the files.
(If anyone knows of a way to convert formats, or of a service that converts them, or of a board house stuck in the 1990s, I'd love to hear about it. I have about a dozen boards I'd like to have made that are in 274D.) 73, Andy KG5RKP/MM |
FYI for folks in the 'States that wants to solder one of these boards. OSHPark will make quantity 3 boards for $3.65, and standard shipping is free. An upgrade to USPS Priority brings the total to $11 even.
Not affiliated, just happy when an order from the Great North Wet works out better than my usual PayPal transfers to JLCPCB. (I just have to keep from humming the Barney song when working on the purple boards hihi) I'm not a fan of AGC as a rule. I'm going to build a partial board just for the S-meter feed into my TSW Teensy 4.1 controller. 73, Andy KG5RKP/MM from SV Jane Ann |
Do Osho people also do quantity orders? At HF Signals, they would love to try out the purple pcbs. - f On Tue, Dec 27, 2022, 5:44 AM AndyH <awhecker@...> wrote: FYI for folks in the 'States that wants to solder one of these boards. Hey Farhan,
I was able to enter a quantity of 6000 for a small board, so expect they'd make whatever quantity one might desire. I've not purchased more than three of anything (their minimum), so don't know what sort of quantity deals they might offer.? Frankly, they are very often significantly more expensive than places like DirtyPCBs and JLCPCB. JLC makes purple boards now as well, FWIW. Best, Andy |
Ashhar, small boards are cheap from Osho, they find runs with unused board space and tack them on to that run.? So essentially?they are just minimizing their waste and making money off of it.? The production schedule is usually (at least it was last I used them a few years back) since they try and find the optimal larger boards?that would fit your run. 73 Lou KI5FTY On Mon, Dec 26, 2022 at 10:33 PM AndyH <awhecker@...> wrote: Hey Farhan, |
