My uBITX had been working just ok for it and I went to turn it on this morning and I'm stuck on 20 Meters. I'm using a 2.8" Nextion display. I try to use the band up and band down buttons and the do not work. I try direct entry and that does not work. Not sure what else to try

Hi Aaron,

From what you are describing, I would guess that the Nano on the Raduino has stopped communicating with the display.? I would check the wiring to verify that nothing has come loose.? You may need to download the program again.

I would also try to connect to the Nano with the Memory Manager to save the configuration data just in case the Nano has failed.

I checked everything out as best as I could. I reloaded the sketch and it did not fix the issue. I then decided to try to start off with a clean slate and go from there. I put the original 2.8" TFT back in it, I then got a brand new Nano (still in the package) and loaded it with the sketch from??and started it up and it loaded up and it looked like it did when I first got it. However, it is still stuck but this time it is stuck on 40 Meters. Just like on the Nextion display it no longer has the touchscreen feature. So I guess right now the biggest issue is it not having the touchscreen feature. Meaning I can't change the mode, band, or anything that you use the display to do.?

Did you leave the antenna connected to it overnight?

Aaron,

With the stock firmware, can you hold in the encoder (tuning knob) when first turning on the power and bring up the touchscreen alignment?? Does it operate correctly after the alignment?

Yes I checked the connections as well as I could. I will do another alignment and we will see how that goes. I will keep you advised.?

Sorry Evan it does not. When I try that the cross does appear but it does not register when I touch it. The touch screen function is not working.?

Aaron,

If you can not calibrate the touch screen, there is a hardware issue with the screen or the connection to the Nano.? Remove and visually inspect all the Nano pins and the traces to the screen connector.? There must be a break or short in the lines to the original display.

The Nextion uses the same wires for the display and the touch screen.? There is no screen calibration for the Nextion.

Checking the schematics, I noted that the Nextion uses the same Nano pins as the touch input for the stock screen.? Since you are having issues with both the Nextion and the stock touchscreen, this would lead me to believe there is a problem with the wiring on the Raduino or that the Nano IO pins have failed.?
