hamvention 2023

I spent 8 hours at the Dayton Hamvention yesterday?
several times looking for Farhan.
His booth is in building 5 #5304, but the space was empty.
He mentioned in another post that he would be there?
Wednesday and Thursday.
I have two people looking for him today at the Hamvention.
has anyone on this site heard from him?

I also made it to the booth yesterday and was pleased to meet Mr. Farhan and thank him for his work on these delightful radios.

Today, Saturday May 20, 2023?
after placing a pair onto the power leads plug them into
a power supply I?hooking up an antenna?
opened the manual read, ok glanced at it waited for raspberry-pi
to boot, lots faster than my pi-zero dmr hotspot?
I live about 10 miles from the Xenia fairground and my first SSB contact?
was with a ham sitting in his car parked in the handclapped parking lot at Hamvention?
yep a whole 10 miles?not really DX, but the bands are bad.?
next contact was using FT-8 VU2ESS INDIA that's DX 1800 miles.??

my friend bought the board he needs the source code?
he said github wanted $29, could this be true?
Pete KB8EMD

Pete,
The source code is already inside the raspberry pi. It is in the directory of /home/pi/sbitx.
Github charges money for private accounts. Sbitx is a public repository that can be accessed for free.
Go to and download the source code.

my sBITx works great, my friend bought just the board kit
he used his own raspberry pi 4.
I think his pi-4 may be messed up, not the sd card that
came with the kit.
when I have time I will try and help him.
again it was my pleasure meeting you.
I hope your trip back is a safe one.

Pete KB8EMD?

I'm Happy to say my friend met with Farhan this morning May-21-23
at the Dayton Hamvention, and everything was taken care of.
Great service thanks for helping my friend Jerry.
