I would like to see the IF/RF gain setting follow the each individual band that we are on. When band surfing, it seems all I'm doing is adjusting the gain ether up or down. It would be nice if 40M was set at 55 for instance and 20M set at 80,etc, unless I change it. Just a thought.

What would we do for out of band settings?

My suggestion would be to create limit ranges that cover the whole HF range, but designed so that each each amateur band is in only one range, I.e.:

0 - 5 MHz (includes 80m)
5 - 9 MHz (includes 40m)
9 - 13 MHz (includes 30m)
13 - 19 MHz (includes 20m)
and so on.?
