Questions about Nextion Upgrade #nextion

I have successfully installed version 0.2 of his excellent firmware on my uBitX V6.1

This is a vast improvement over the original for CW operation and the CAT control works well with FLRIG.

I am studying the upgrade to the Nextion TFT display.? It will require some modifications and I am studying the documentation.?

Is uBITX_CEC_V1.200.zip\uBITXV5 the latest firmware for Nextion support?? I ask because it dates back to 2019.

What additional features will the Nexion upgrade provide? over the present TFT display??

I'm satisfied with N8ME's code and want to determine of it is worth the effort.

Thanks in Advance,

Mike N2MS

Functionally, v1.2 is the current peak for this software. It is restricted to Nano processors and is shoehorned into the memory of the nano. Certainly it has better ¡°eye candy¡± over the more recent software. I will leave it to others to compare functionality as I am not familiar with the latest software.?

I am working on a ¡°2.0¡± version of kd8cec software that runs on non nano processors. (See GitHub link in my sig below). ?The hope is that these faster processors with more memory will provide greater headroom for this software. However, the first phase is just to preserve existing functionality on these newer platforms.?

Doug and Mark,

Thanks for the feedback. I will study Mark's work on version 2.0 before I decide what to do.
