Ubitx ver 3

I am in the process of upgrading this board. I planning on using it on 80 40 20. I am upgrading the heatsink to run the finals on 24 v. Does anyone have a recommendation for a 12 to 24 v converter from ebay or elsewhere that is quiet from a ?RFI standpoint? This would be easier for portable operation instead of adding separate batteries.
Thanks. ? ? ? John, N4HNO?

Heatsink for that level has to be BIG.? Say 2" x4" with 1" fins.
Devices need to have shortest leads possible and the heatsink must be
grounded so that means insulator kit.? Do not be surprised if the amp
goes unstable or blown devices I suggest at least several pairs till you
get it right.? Look up all TX mods.

Unless the LPF filter were modded (V3) it will be dirty.? Its really a
must fix.

Quiet 12 to 24V, I found several that looked the same one was quiet
the others were terrible. They had identical markings.

Good luck.

I¡¯m planning on a 6 x 3 x 1.5 inch heatsink mounted with a brace and not changing any lead length on the fets. Leave them as is with mica TO-220 insulators and compound. ?I will work on cleaning up the output. Case fan too. The mike amp circuit needs some work as well. A Pelican case with a thin plywood front panel till I get everything worked out. Aluminum later. On the plus side receive is great. Not much output as stock on ssb even with a powered microphone. CW output is good. I have seen some if the posts about mike preamp resistance changes too. At least it¡¯s in the case and mounted. Heatsink is on the way. The Bitx 40 is almost done too.

Check the Wiki as there are a ton of mods for? V3.
