My sbitx starts off in receive around 680ma current draw (it hops around between 670ma and 690ma). With my mic gain at 0, compression at 0, watts at 1, in a completely noiseless room, with DRIVE_BIAS and PA_BIAS completely counterclockwise, and I key the mic I get a jump immediately to about 910ma-920ma where it stays. Reading the instructions I feel like I shouldn't see an increase at all in my current until I adjust the DRIVE_BIAS pot. I CAN adjust it to about 5:00 (respective to looking down at with the radio oriented toward me) where it will jump up to 1120ma but this seems wrong.?
Should I see a jump in current at all before adjusting DRIVE_BIAS when keying? And if so, should I be looking for a 200ma increase beyond that value when adjusting?
