Raduino32. New batch of PCB #ubitxv6 #esp32 #raduino32

Hola,

I have prepared a new batch of Raduino32 PCB with some modifications and improvements:
  • Some components have been relocated.
  • Since there are already stocks of the Si5351 chip, it has been incorporated into the board although the socket has been left in case it was necessary.
  • The reverse polarity protection relay has been removed and only the MOSFET has been left.?
  • The socket for analog inputs has been simplified, leaving only access to the inputs free.
  • A specific connector has been placed for the signals detected from the SWR bridge.
  • All components have been incorporated into the board in SMD format and will be factory welded,?except
    • The two ADC ADS1115. There is no availability of this chip or a similar one until the end of 2022, so it will be necessary to continue using the available modules.
    • The 5v 7805 regulator, which needs a heatsink and must be soldered separately.
    • All sockets and connectors.

The PCB would look like this:

Regarding prices, there have been some changes due to the entry into force of new customs regulations in the European Union. In the case of Spain, it is necessary to add 21% VAT, which is already applied by all Asian suppliers.

The final price of the PCB depends mainly on the quantity ordered.?Thus, if 10 PCBs are ordered, the price would be € 18.00 with the Si5351 included, compared to € 8.00 for the previous version plus € 5.00 for the Si5351 module, a total of € 13.00.?
If only 5 units were ordered, the price would go up to € 26.00.

To this we must add the 7805 regulator and the connectors and sockets, approx. € 2.50.

Shipping by international registered letter is about € 8.00 for Europe and € 9.50 for the rest of the countries, as long as it does not exceed 100 grams in weight.

Summarizing,

PCB € 18.00
Other components: € 2.50
Shipping: € 8.00 to € 9.50
?
In order to order 10 units, I should have a firm commitment of at least 7 units to cover costs.
?
In any case, I make the design and files available to anyone who wishes to order through JLCPCB.

I am very interested in ordering this. Is this compatible with the Nextion display?
Gracias!

Hi Arnie,

Thanks for your interest.

Sorry, it doesn't support Nextion display.

The original uBitx v6 TFT screen or other 320x240 TFT screen with ILI9341 driver and SPI interface must be used.

Hello Ramon.?
?
Thanks for your offer.
Please reserve a board for me.

Hi,

I have finally placed the order for the new batch of Raduino32 v6.1 boards.
Except for the 7805 regulator and the connectors, all components will be factory welded.
?
Although I only had 5 requests confirmed, I have ordered 10 units in case someone else wants to order it later.
?
As I said in a previous message, the final prices will be:
PCB € 18.00
Other components: € 2.00 (7805 + sockets)
Shipping: € 8.00 to € 9.50
?
If someone wants to receive the plate with the regulator and the soldered sockets, I can do it, although it could not be sent as a letter but as a package and could increase the cost of shipping.
?
I estimate that the order will arrive in about 20 days. To those who have already asked me for a unit, I will send an email with all the necessary information.
?
Greetings,
Ramon

Superb! I would love one of these if you have any spare?

Hi Josh,

Yes, I still have some available. Would the shipment be by registered letter to Great Britain? if the post office does not require any other documentation. You already know that since Brexit, sometimes they require invoices, VAT and customs procedures. I am a private individual and I cannot invoice or process VAT.
?
I need a few days to test the PCB. If you wish you can send me a private message with the postal address and when the tests are finished make the payment by Paypal.
?
PCB: € 18.00
Regulator 7805 + connectors: € 2.00
Shipping to Great Britain: € 8.00
?
If finally there were any difficulties in the shipment, I would return the money without any problem in the same way.
?
Greetings,
Ramon

Dear George,

This PCB is intended to replace the original Raduino board, therefore you need to buy the uBitx equipment from HFSignals. I cannot provide you with this equipment, I bought it directly from and it arrived quickly and well from India.

Once you have the uBitx Version 6 kit, the change is simple and only requires a few soldering and adding an ESP32 DoIt module .

The original TFT screen of the equipment is reused.
?
The advantage of the change is that the micro ESP32 has much more memory than the Arduino Nano and allows adding new functions without the restrictions of the Arduino, in addition to having WiFi and BT.

Keep in mind that this PCB is not commercial equipment and is designed to experiment and add functions to the uBitx, therefore it requires minimal skills for its use: soldering, wiring, etc.

Hi ¸é²¹³¾¨®²Ô,

thanks for your post but I was confused that it shows several versions of the ESP32 - I'm not sure which is needed for this application.

Hi,?
The module must have 2x15 pins with this arrangement

Hola,

Some of you have asked me to send you all the necessary material for the operation. I would like to clarify some doubts in this regard.

I will send the PCB with all the components soldered. For its operation, it is necessary to add at least one ESP32 module. This achieves minimal performance. There are other additional functions that require additional components that are readily available.

In principle, I have not considered the possibility of supplying a complete kit with all the elements, mainly because a PCB can be sent by post as a simple registered letter. If many items are added, it would be necessary to prepare a package with the consequent complications in terms of billing, customs and taxes and I do not have the capacity to do so. Should any kit or equipment vendor wish to do so, I will be happy to provide all the necessary design, knowledge and support. I am retired and I want to continue enjoying without obligations ???.

However, if anyone is having a hard time getting any of the modules, I can gladly get it and ship it to them.

For the operation of the S-meter and SWR meter it is necessary to add an ADC converter module of the type ADS1115 and another one for the operation of the voltage and current meter.

To use Serial port 2 it is necessary to add a serial to USB module.

For the temperature control function of the power transistors and the regulator, 3 probes of the type DS18B20 must be added.

Below this message I add example links to buy these components.

Dear Ramon and the members of the group,
????? Good Day and greetings to all. From the correspondences from Ramon, it is understood there may be some problems in shipping the Raduino32 as a completely assembled module. As such, I give my humble suggestions as below.
1. Ramon can kindly send the PCB? with components the components to the extent possible (without soldering connector and 7805) so that the PCB can be shipped as letter.
2. Ramon may please? give complete details as below
?? a) Circuit diagram
?? b) List of components soldered in the PCB
?? c) List of components which are required in addition to the components already soldered? in the PCB and the details on how these additional components are to be connected to the board. (preferably with circuit diagram).
3,Ramon may kindly give hint on preferable variant of ESP32, ADS1115, DS18B20 temp probes etc; This will be helpful since for example ESP32 module? available in India is ESP32 Development board and as such will it be suitable or some other variant preferable.
?? These are my humble opinions. Request members to? offer comments or further improved suggestions.
I hope Ramon will not mistake me for putting more requests and thrusts? to him.
Expecting early replies.
With regards,
MUTHU??? VU2LMN

Hi,

I am preparing this documentation that you suggest and I hope that when you receive the material it will already be available.

My apologies if I have bothered someone, I just wanted to point out that my logistical possibilities are limited and that it should be understood that it is not a business, just a collaboration that I do with great pleasure, the foundation of amateur radio.

Saludos cordiales,
