Non resonant antenna #antennas

Hope I¡¯m not duplicating a previous feed. I¡¯m using an end-fed 40-10 antenna. I have a very high voltage variable capacitor that I would like to incorporate for remote tuning. I can create a waterproof box for the capacitor, motor, etc. has this been done? ?What about parts? ?Thanks to the groups!! ?You¡¯ve taught me lots!!

Steve, how long is your antenna, and how many pF is your cap?

Thanks Scott. The wire is 66 feet with a balun and loading coil at proximal end. The capacitor is 32-241 and is 10 inches long.?

Steve

I use an LC network to load a 55 foot end-fed wire for an original BITX,
and for my uBITX.? The inductor is a roller coil from an ARC-5 transmitter.
This with a Stockton bridge for SWR management lets me operate on
almost any band.?

If an adequate variable capacitor is not available, one can be fabricated from
blank PCB material.? It is also possible to use several fixed value capacitors
to tune just above each band and make a small variable cap to get lowest
reflected power on each band.

Several on this group have built stepper motor activated antenna tuners, and
a few have built DC motor tuners.? Most of these use an Arduino to manage
the tuner.

The wire is 66 ft long with a loading coil and a balun. The variable capacitor I have is 10 inches long with 240/31 capacitor. There¡¯s another value on the cap. 154/16
Thanks everyone!!
