Laser cut ubitx case SVG

Hi All,

If any of you have access to a laser cutter, or are really handy with a fret saw, you may find this useful.

-Cheers Max, G7UOZ.

Nice. I will have it ;-)

Thank You

Nice design. Perhaps we can manage spot welding 4 nuts behind the lcd and thus prevent the 4 mounting holes. Kindly think of such possibility.

?best of NEW Year 2018

You might think of selling those for people who don't have access to a laser cutter. You could make a few extra bucks and make people happy at the same time

Very nice Max.
Might I suggest adding a provision for a panel mount USB extension like this one...

I can fumble around in Inkscape but I am far from proficient at it.

?Oh that looks good. I'll see about ordering one and adding it to the plan, additionally I'm thinking of some vents above and below the finals. I've not got time to make and sell these, but there are plenty of hackspaces scattered around the world that can help, as well as commerical manufacturers of course :)

?Happy new year everyone!

-Cheers, Max.

Very nice, I am going to cut one out of acrylic at the local makerspace.

Depending on how long it takes (laser cutters are not free to use) I might make a few extras if anyone is intrested

It took all day but I made my case out of a dry marker
board I got at Lowe's.Used the Harbor Freight multipurpose
vibrating tool to cut the pieces. For the mounting base,
I used a 6X8 wooden photo base I got at Walmart. It all
cost less than $10 but used screws from a Harbor Freight
sheet metal screw kit I already had. Looks OK.

Front panel was once part of a toaster. Used a nibbler to
make the cuts. Took some time but with my tool and die
experience in 1968, it turned out OK Ha

Now experiencing the lack of AGC listening to a group on
160M. Since I'm using a computer speaker in the 'phone
jack, wonder if I put a couple of back-to-back diodes across
the audio line with a 20 Ohm resistor in series to avoid it
looking like a short on the audio line. the level is so low it
might work. (I think) May try it...
