Baruch Atta #26713 George -? Exactly the same - 600 km first contact to Toronto from Baltimore.? And I was heard in Miami area, too. I have two tuning controls in my BitX 40v3 - built before everyone was using Radino.? I replaced the Surface Mount caps that controled the tuning with NP0 caps, and replaced the toroid.? That stabilized the frequency drift that plagued the early models.? Then I have the standard 10K pot (on right) and a 500 ohm pot for bandspread tuning.? No need for a 10Turn pot. I just added the circuit to eliminate the pesky PTT Whamp.? Now the circuit is usable on the air. ?
