Kitty Jack #24480 I'm thinking about ?trying my old D-104 on the bitx40. ?i have the one with the standard astatic preamp in the base. What do you think? Mike AK3F

I just removed the original mic element (carefully so it can be put back) put some foam and an electret element in there and bingo!
