MIC/PTT hookup

[email protected] #24348 Greetings to all.? I am new to this group and to BITX and I am having the following problem:? I received by BITX40, assembled it and it receives fine except for a few little things I can live with for now.? I have read all the instructions but to no avail, I still cannot get the mic and PTT correctly hooked up with the stereo plug provided.? I assume the mic connector is the 2 pin connector next to the SPK1 connection.? I purchased the Hendricks Electret Microphone and it checks out ok.? Could someone please point me in the right direction with the mic, ptt and stereo lug connector for the mic?? I have tried all combinations that make sense to me and I still cannot xmit.? Tim - K7OB All Messages By This Member #24366 The ptt will not hook to the stereo jack. ?It will hook up to the push button. ?You can always wire in a different jack. ?I used a 4pin cb style jack for a uniden microphone. ?That has the ptt in it.
