is it ok to used 2n3904c instead of 2n3904 in bitx v3 smd version

?I have a stock of?2n3904c 's. Is it ok to replace the Q7( output of oscillator VFO) with?2n3904c.

Even though??the schematic shows a different transistor number, the boards are built with 2N2904 SMD transistors.

Should be safe to use.

Typo.

Make that MMBT3904 transistors. Others will work also,
even the BC849 to 30m or so, though its F(t) is
100 MHz. Check the data sheet. The most important criteria are
Vceo and F(t). And noise.

Thanks for catching that, John.

Thanks for the info john , Marco and Garza. The 2n3904c was described as a switching transistor while the 2n3904 as a small signal transistor. Thats why I had a doubt. F(t) is certainly matching. I have assembled it in the bitx40 and is working well.
