Wired my just received BITX40 up.

Using a long wire just for receiving.

Tuning gives static and i could bearly hear 1 cw station, that was all.

Checked all the connections, looks good.

While tuning on every freq change i also hear in my headphone a sort of (tuning) click, sounds like it is ok but i don't know.

Switching the bitx off with the pot with the on/off switch on it. It gives a terrible sound in the headset.

is there any one with a suggestion or the same experiance of what i could do ?
