GPS corrected Arduino controlled VFO

A nice article in July/August 2015 QEX magazine.

Looks like an easy build.

Hello Bob,

I authored the article that you are referring to. The article is located at: < http://www.knology.net/~gmarcus/Si5351/Si5351_VFO_QEX.pdf>. ??I recently modified the code to run on the Raduino. ?GPS frequency correction?is optional. If anyone is interested in receiving a copy of the Raduino?version just send me an email.

Hello Gene

Thank you for the article and additional info. ?I have a QRP-Labs VFO on my Bitx40 currently but I got the thing so I can play around with it. It sure has been

a fun project. ?This is a good group of people to share ideas with.

Thanks Gene,
?Please allow me a copy .
In the absence of GPS , perhaps Arduino can internally manage? 1pps employing accurate? 1sec pulse-"roman balck's code".

In lieu of a 1pps from a GPS you could use anything which generates 1pps. Anything from a Rubidium 10MHz standard to a highly stable 1 or 5 or 10 mhz OCXO or even your AC power 50 or 60 hertz divided down appropriately to generate a 1 pps.

examples of very simple PIC devices programmed to do the dividing.

?I have done just this drive one of Hans' PROGROCKs with a 1pps from a 10MHz OCXO rather than a Gps - works very well.
