radiuno as VFO for DC receiver?

I am contemplating building Farhan's DC40.? I have a Radiuno with a BITX40 sketch currently loaded.? Can I use the Radiuno as is as the VFO for a direct conversion receiver or do I need to modify the sketch?? I am assuming I'll need to attenuate it.? I'll probably eventually try to? build something myself but I am trying to eliminate variables where I can as I figure this out.

Hat tip to the hatted W7RLF's site for the updated schematic.

You could even use the two channels to generate I/Q directly.
