This adds cw/keyer and much more and is very worth it once you have a basic working rig, its worth the change.

As you have probably figured out, the schematic for the Bitx40 is at the top of this page:

and the assembly instructions here:

The diagram at the top of the assembly instructions looks sort of like a photograph,
but it is instead computer generated from a board layout program and so
some of the parts and connectors do not look quite right.?

The diagram shows the Raduino oriented such that the display would be facing you,
but the display has been removed, and the diagram does not bother to include
the 16 pin display connector on the upper left.

The connector you are asking about is on the bottom.
Pin 1 is on square pin on the far right side, the diagram shows orange, red,
brown and black wires coming from that connector on pins 15,14,13,12.
The yellow wire from pin 16 is not used, but put tape over the end of it because
it will have 12 volts on it and you definitely don't want that touching anything else.

The early Bitx40 kits had a 5 pin connector on the back of the board?(as shown in
the pictorial diagram) for that connector for pins 16,15,14,13,12, and we would?
then plug in a wiring harness to that connector with yellow, orange,red,brown,black
wires coming out of it.

But now the uBitx has come out,?and for the uBitx all 16 pins of that connector
plug directly into the uBitx main board?without any wiring harness.??
All Raduinos now get built the same, so all Raduinos have 16 right angle pins
soldered into the back of the Raduino there instead of the old 5 pin connector.
When using such a Raduino on a Bitx40, you should plug in the 5 wire harness
on pins 16,15,14,13,12 of those right angle header pins, it will mate perfectly well.
The unused yellow wire should be on pin 16, which is the furthest left in the pictorial diagram.

The Raduino first shipped in Dec of 2016, all Raduinos ever shipped since then
have been physically identical except for that connector.??

Raduinos shipped with a Bitx40 have Bitx40 firmware programmed into them.
this is different from the firmware on a Raduino that gets shipped with a uBitx.

But it is correct, once you get the raduino board oriented correctly.
You are looking at a raduino board that has the display removed,
and the 16 pin display connector is on the upper left.
You should be able to see the?
