Hi hf signals or home brewers.?If I can not successfully load new firmware 1.08?into v4 raduino.to fix low audio problem.?can I purchase a new v5raduino.( and the approximate price )and will it be?conpatable with the v 4 version .appreciate? your suggestions .Will Bennett? Vk4WBX

To run different firmwares on Raduino you don't need to buy additional Raduino. Just get a few more Arduino Nano unsoldered and flash firmware on different Arduinos.
Its so easy removing Arduino modul and replacing new one on the socket.

Why would you need a new Raduino to fix low audio?

IF the unit is miscalibrated that might cause that,? then do factory reset and try again.
A new Raduino with the new firmware will not fix that and you would have to load an
older version.?

Reports of low audio are numerous.? But explore to find what's happening. The cw sidetone should be quite loud in headphones. That will point us to something else. If bfo is way off,? not much signal gets through.? Also a full sized antenna is suggested.

Bfo calibration takes some patience. Its a nifty rig when this is aligned.

If you want to use the speaker, maybe an external cheap amplified speaker is the way to go.
