uBITX Firmware CEC Version 1.1 Release #ubitx

Version 1.1 is the first major release since 1.097,?I released it after a 50-day beta test.
(Version 1.08 also had a beta test period of about 50 days)

Version 1.1 includes all additions or improvements from 1.08 to 1.09, 1.093, 1.095, 1.097?
Version 1.1 changed version name only in Version 1.097 Beta.
You do not need to upgrade if you are using Version 1.097. This is the version with only the version number changed.

Major Changes

?- Support Nextion LCD, TJC LCD

?- Read & Backup uBITX, ADC Monitoring, ATT, IF-Shift and more on Nextion LCD (TJC LCD)

?- Factory Reset (Both Character LCD and Nextion LCD are applicable)

?- Support Signal Meter using ADC (A7 Port)

?- Supoort I2C Signal Meter

?- Spectrum

?- Band Scan

?- Memory Control on Nextion LCD (TJC LCD)

?- Speed Change CW-Option on Nextion LCD

?- Fixed Band Change Bug (Both Character LCD and Nextion LCD are applicable)

?- uBITX Manager removed the Encode and Decode buttons. The procedure has become a bit easier.

?- I2C Device Scan on uBITX Manager ( Both Character LCD and Nextion LCD are applicable)

?- Si5351 I2C Address can be changed

?- Recovery using QR-Code Data from Server

?- Nextion LCD and TJC LCD can display Spectrum and CW Decode (using Stand alone S-Meter)

?- Other Minor Bugs

?

Please refer to the link below for details.

Please download the related file from the link below.

Nextion LCD or TJC LCD's GUI is the same version as 1.097 (Beta) distribution.
If you are using a different GUI that is customized by great developers, you do not have to change it.

Your accomplishments are massive when viewed in one big list.
Basically you have changed our little Chevy into a nice big Caddy! ?

My little ubitx is making contacts with my mag loop INDOORS!
Take a break before you start into more mods.

This is great. And it looks like the source code is now there.?

I find it easer to upload new firmware from the source rather than the hex files, so I'm still (happily) using the last version that had source code.?

Also, with the source code, I'll be looking to see how Ian has yet again pushed more functionally into such a tight space.

Ian,
Thanks you so much, the custom filter section is PERFECT for my LPF boards. and very easy to setup!!!
Please send me an email with your details, I will post you a set of these LPF boards!!!

Does A7 work as a digital output??

Tom, wb6b

Tom, Yes,?
Would also be good to convert to I2C lcd then there are 6 free Digital I/O too.
Maybe next version of software will allow you to chose which port you want to hook up the extra filter too..

73 Nick.

Tom, No.
I believe pins A6 and A7 are analog inputs only, they do not have digital IO blocks associated with them.
See post?/g/BITX20/message/57215
Also look at the pin-out diagrams in that datasheet.

I looked into this in more detail. It looks like there is an?ATmega328PB version of the chip that has a "E" resister that can be used to make the A6 and A7 pins digit I/O pins as "alternate" pin functions.

I randomly grabbed one of my cheap Nano clone boards. Does not look like it has a "PB" version of the chip.

Hello all,

about the file ubitx_70_E.hmi, i have a question, when i load it on the gui software the items are all grouped in the top left corner.
Is it normal and wanted, or is there something I'm not doing right?

the placement of the various components is left to everyone's choice?

Ian, you have made a great job, BRAVO,

Implemented but not yet tested.?
If new features are added back, they will not be enabled for this version because the beta period should be longer.

However, you will find the Custom LPF option in ubitx.h.
I will post about that soon.
Thank you for your interest.

Your work is all normal.?I only created GUIs for 2.4 "and 2.8".
All 3.2 "and above LCD files are for testing.
It's just conversion from 2.4",?But you will find the .hmi or .tft files that the great developers have converted.

I downloaded V1.1 and XLOADED the 16P version it to my uBITX V3. ?All I have now is a top line of boxes on my standard isssue display and XLOADER will no longer work in order to re-install V1.061. ?Any suggestions?

Tom

Tom

Uploading any firmware through Xloader will not damage the boot area on Arduino Nano.?Check if the serial port is recognized normally.
Also check that CAT communication is being performed.
If your Nano is damaged, it is recommended to use the ICSP tool and the Arduino IDE.

When I try to start Xloader I immediately get the message "Xloader is not working. ?Looking for a solution." ?This occurs whether I have the USB cable plugged in or not.

Is there an alternative to Xloader?
