uBITX Firmware CEC Version 1.1 Release
#ubitx
Version 1.1 is the first major release since 1.097,?I released it after a 50-day beta test.
Version 1.1 includes all additions or improvements from 1.08 to 1.09, 1.093, 1.095, 1.097?(Version 1.08 also had a beta test period of about 50 days) Version 1.1 changed version name only in Version 1.097 Beta. You do not need to upgrade if you are using Version 1.097. This is the version with only the version number changed. Major Changes ?- Support Nextion LCD, TJC LCD ?- Read & Backup uBITX, ADC Monitoring, ATT, IF-Shift and more on Nextion LCD (TJC LCD) ?- Factory Reset (Both Character LCD and Nextion LCD are applicable) ?- Support Signal Meter using ADC (A7 Port) ?- Supoort I2C Signal Meter ?- Spectrum ?- Band Scan ?- Memory Control on Nextion LCD (TJC LCD) ?- Speed Change CW-Option on Nextion LCD ?- Fixed Band Change Bug (Both Character LCD and Nextion LCD are applicable) ?- uBITX Manager removed the Encode and Decode buttons. The procedure has become a bit easier. ?- I2C Device Scan on uBITX Manager ( Both Character LCD and Nextion LCD are applicable) ?- Si5351 I2C Address can be changed ?- Recovery using QR-Code Data from Server ?- Nextion LCD and TJC LCD can display Spectrum and CW Decode (using Stand alone S-Meter) ?- Other Minor Bugs ? Please download the related file from the link below. Nextion LCD or TJC LCD's GUI is the same version as 1.097 (Beta) distribution. If you are using a different GUI that is customized by great developers, you do not have to change it. Ian KD8CEC kd8cec@... (my blog) |
This is great. And it looks like the source code is now there.?
I find it easer to upload new firmware from the source rather than the hex files, so I'm still (happily) using the last version that had source code.? Also, with the source code, I'll be looking to see how Ian has yet again pushed more functionally into such a tight space. Tom, wb6b |
Tom, No.

I believe pins A6 and A7 are analog inputs only, they do not have digital IO blocks associated with them. See post?/g/BITX20/message/57215 Also look at the pin-out diagrams in that datasheet. Jerry On Wed, Sep 12, 2018 at 07:12 PM, Tom, wb6b wrote: Does A7 work as a digital output?? |
I looked into this in more detail. It looks like there is an?ATmega328PB version of the chip that has a "E" resister that can be used to make the A6 and A7 pins digit I/O pins as "alternate" pin functions.
I randomly grabbed one of my cheap Nano clone boards. Does not look like it has a "PB" version of the chip. Tom, wb6b |
¿ªÔÆÌåÓýHello all, about the file ubitx_70_E.hmi, i have a question, when i load it on the gui software the items are all grouped in the top left corner. the placement of the various components is left to everyone's choice? Ian, you have made a great job, BRAVO, 73¡¯s de Jacques ¨C F1APY ? ? From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Tom, wb6b ? This is great. Kevin, Bo, Tom I am always thankful for you to test it. Ian 2018? 9? 12? (?) ?? 10:08, Kevin Rea <reakevinscott@...>?? ??: Thank you very much Ian for all of your hard work on this. |
Nick Implemented but not yet tested.? If new features are added back, they will not be enabled for this version because the beta period should be longer. However, you will find the Custom LPF option in ubitx.h. I will post about that soon. Thank you for your interest. Ian 2018? 9? 13? (?) ?? 9:29, Nick VK4PP <nickpullen@...>?? ??: Ian, |
f1apy Your work is all normal.?I only created GUIs for 2.4 "and 2.8". All 3.2 "and above LCD files are for testing. It's just conversion from 2.4",?But you will find the .hmi or .tft files that the great developers have converted. Ian, KD8CEC 2018? 9? 13? (?) ?? 5:29, f1apy - Jacques <f1apy@...>?? ??:

¿ªÔÆÌåÓýHi, Ian, ? Thanks for quick answer, Ok we can use code with no mods and just adapt graphical objects or as you say find good HMI files 73¡¯s de Jacques ? ? Tom Uploading any firmware through Xloader will not damage the boot area on Arduino Nano.?Check if the serial port is recognized normally. Also check that CAT communication is being performed. If your Nano is damaged, it is recommended to use the ICSP tool and the Arduino IDE. Ian 2018? 9? 14? (?) ?? 4:38, Tom Cooper via Groups.Io <w1eat=[email protected]>?? ??: I downloaded V1.1 and XLOADED the 16P version it to my uBITX V3.? All I have now is a top line of boxes on my standard isssue display and XLOADER will no longer work in order to re-install V1.061.? Any suggestions? |
